Haringey Council’s public consultation regarding plans to redevelop Rowans Tenpin Bowl into flats has revealed overwhelming disapproval from the public.
When the plans were announced last December, the idea deeply worried the community.
Rowans’ official response was to confirm that there were no short-term plans for change, adding that they were “sincerely moved by the outpouring of love from everyone worrying about the future of Rowans”.
Though the results of the council’s consultation were never publicly announced, using web scraping technology, we are now able to reveal a clear picture of its outcome, taking as a sample roughly half of the responses, 2520.
Watch below to find out what we discovered, and what Rowans means to the Finsbury Park community.
