Whether you’re into science and tech, theatre in the park, live music, or just looking for ways to stay active, Redbridge has something for everyone this summer.
Here’s your ultimate guide to what’s happening in the borough.
Tech Ilford
The summer season kicks off with Tech Ilford on Saturday, June 14 from 11am to 3pm at Redbridge Central Library.
This is a free, drop-in event that celebrates innovation and creativity with a special focus on STEM.
Families can expect hands-on workshops, artistic experiments, and interactive zones.
Some of the event highlights include meeting an invisible man, solving a mystery case of the missing book, and some green screen magic.
Plus, thanks to UK Robotics, attendees who give feedback about the day will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three amazing robot sets.
South Woodford Summer Festival
Next up, is the lively South Woodford Summer Festival on Sunday, July 20 from 11am to 4pm on the vibrant George Lane.
The street will be closed to traffic and transformed into a pedestrian-friendly space filled with live music, food stalls, market vendors, and family-friendly activities.
There will also be a child-safe zone for kids to play in, and a pop-up hub where visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments.
This festival is the perfect way to begin the summer holidays and enjoy a fun, street party vibe with the local community.
