An event bringing together riding enthusiasts took place in Northeast London.
Personal electric vehicle (PEV) riders came to this event to connect with other cyclist and create community.
PEV Connect UK are event organisers that have been holding these track days since 2021 and are proud of the riding community that they have created.
Chehzad Chah, one of the event organisers, said: “These events are very important to the community.
“Most come to ride, some come to socialise, and some even bring their wives and kids.
“Because although the track can be intense, it is still a very family-friendly environment.”
The most recent event, on Sunday 14 June at Redbridge Cycling Centre, welcomed over 100 PEV riders.
To keep everyone safe and the track flowing, organisers ran three rotating 20 minutes speed classes, slow, medium and fast, and informed everyone about their strict overtaking rule.
Chehzad and friends started these events following the pandemic to bring all different types of personal vehicle riders together in one place.
He was first introduced to the idea when riding his electric skateboard with his community.
Chehzad said: “All different genres of PEV riders should connect.
“Why should some wheels be separate and not involved?”
From four wheels to one, all vehicles are welcome and people of varying capabilities, speed and terrain are embraced.
To understand the attendee riders Chehzad learnt how to ride all the vehicles that they showed up with and he said the electric unicycle was the hardest one to master.
The UK weather can sometimes affect these events as the vehicles are unable to run in torrential rain.
But that doesn’t stop PEV Connect UK; they change the event date to ensure that it still goes ahead.
The organisation receive a small amount of funding from two cycling centres which goes towards essentials needs for the track days. including bibs, medical equipment and megaphones.
