A city farm has been providing green spaces to Tower Hamlets, the borough with the least amount of green space in London, with only 60.3% of addresses with a private garden.

Stepney city farm has become a crucial space for members of the community, such as Lisa Payne, 48, who has been visiting the farm since she was a little girl attending the primary school across the street.

The farm, which was originally built in 1979 on a site bombed during World War II, offers free entrance to all London residents, giving access to their animals, gardens, and farmers market.

It presents an opportunity to educate young Londoners who have always lived in an urban setting on nature and the environment.
