Couture Mélange, French for ‘a blend of couture’, is a heritage and contemporary fashion show celebrated on UNESCO’s World Day for Cultural Diversity.
This year, the immersive show was hosted in a food hall in Walthamstow, an area rich in cultural diversity.
Designers explored themes such as identity, sustainability, resilience, spirituality and traditional craftsmanship through contemporary fashion
The event also celebrated the fifth anniversary of Cultural Style Week, an international movement that champions identity through fashion.
Bringing together emerging designers, models, and creatives, Couture Mélange truly shows the dedication of handcraftship to reflect the uniqueness of different cultures.
The event also showcased 17 & Central’s commitment to supporting inclusive cultural events that bring people together and celebrate the rich diversity of Walthamstow and beyond.
